Toptech is a Business Unit within IDEX Corporation s Energy & Fuels platform. Energy & Fuels is a set of six companies who specialize in the movement, measurement and management of
high value fluids with a worldwide presence.

The Systems Engineer analyzes requirements and advises customers on use of Toptech s Terminal Management Systems and other process control systems to improve operational efficiencies at the customer s operations. Working in a team environment, the SE uses systems analysis techniques to consult and advise customers regarding hardware, software and terminal operations systems. In addition, they are responsible for onsite and remote implementations of highly customized solutions for customers, and systems troubleshooting alongside the customer. They educate customers on products, various functionality available, and customizable features which may be designed in collaboration with Toptech s commercial and solutions design team. The primary goal of the SE is to be a trusted advisor to our customers educating them on best practices which lead to improved operational efficiency, minimizing operations down time due to implementations, and errors and creating raving fans which each interaction which leads to future sales of Toptech products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary duty is the performance of non-manual work directly related to the business operations of our terminal management customers, assisting them with operational efficiencies and minimizing downtime due to systems problems.

Provides specialized technical assistance on Toptech s highly customized software products by responding to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding errors, problems, or questions about software via email, phone or pager as required.

Analyzes parameters and software to find possible causes of run time errors in proprietary software including reading and writing of C, C++ code.

Consults with clients to gather information about customer s operations and specific needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements at their terminal operations facility.

Advises customer regarding best practices and how operational efficiencies and product flow through may be improved to drive customer revenue through use of Toptech Systems products and practices.

Advises client how to best configure system architecture and software to meet client s needs and ensures the client s business operations are kept running with minimal financial impact and
downtime.

Partners with the commercial team to accommodate customer s unique needs through use of Toptech Products at their specific terminal operations, including pre-sales and post-sales support. Will be
expected to travel to customer location for presentations, implementations and various meetings.

Utilizes discretion and independent judgment to ensure customer s operations are efficient and ensure minimal operational and financial impact due to customer s operations down time due to customized configurations or product deployments at their operational facilities. Trains end users.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science, or Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Prior technical or software development internships preferred. Red Hat Certification and database knowledge a plus. This role may require significant travel and advise customers at their locations both nationally and internationally while observing company s policy with regards to travel expenditure and a valid driver s license
